The Photo & Film Expo is done and dusted, we had record high stats on our website, the Shukuma DOLLY is out of stock, the Shukuma MINI is no more and a Dubai blog to follow soon.
So here is what happened at the expo and other general information.

We finally put together a "Cheat Sheet" with a guideline and starting point to get the correct speed and distance on your Shukuma DOLLY. Keep this list in your gadget bag to make your life a whole lot easier when setting up a shot ;-)

It's been quite hectic this past month and I sure had a busy one :-)

I am stoked to announce that Cape Town will now have Shukuma DOLLIES available to rent and for sale from next week!

WOW! What a hectic past two weeks this was. What took me two months to complete the previous time with the 1st batch of dollies, I now HAD to do it in 2 weeks due to ALL my suppliers closing for the holidays and only opening on the 7th of Jan 2013. 

I had no time to spare, sleep or even eat, but......

I will be chatting about Time-lapse and why it's essential to add that extra linear movement to your shots.

I was totally blown away a few minutes ago after I saw an article by a South African engineering company (whose name I will not yet reveal).  Apparently they "assisted" me in building and designing the Shukuma DOLLY.....!!!
They are one of my 21 suppliers for ONE item ONLY and are suppliers ONLY! They did not design or engineer a single thing for me, except to sell me an item that is being used on the dolly.

I would like to take this opportunity and let you ALL know it is NOT true and I WILL take this matter seriously and keep you posted.

WOW!! What a challenge this was to actually source and produce timelapse dollies in South Africa!!
With a lot of struggle, and I mean a lot of struggle, I can now only say WOW! 

Peter Hassall, Jonelle and I went out on a shoot to Sandton to do some TimeLapse at Nelson Mandela square.

Being there on a Saturday meant lots of people activity, with some very interesting shots.

After all the hours, days and months that I've put into this dolly, this day is finally here!

The assembly is in full force and the first 10 units are being assembled and packaged, ready for shipping.
