It's no secret how much we love the great outdoors and shooting timelapse under the African night sky. It's obvious that these assignments are what we dream about and now it's with great excitement that we share with you our first ever timelapse clips on air in a natural history documentary!

This is something I've been wanting to do for a very long time now - shooting timelapse on a jib! Yes, on a motorised jib.

Since the beginning of planning our latest timelapse film Where We'll Go we had this idea to host a film evening. Through this we wanted to show our short film along with sharing some stories from behind the scenes and try and give people a sense of what we experienced while shooting. When we started to specialise in timelapse, it quickly became evident that the general public has a lot to learn about timelapse and what it takes to get the shots, so we wanted to shed some light on the matter ;-)

Wait! What?? An assignment to shoot timelapse in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve... Is this for real?
We were super stoked to be commissioned by Londolozi to shoot some timelapse for a very special occasion that took place at this luxurious 5 star lodge. Not because we will experience 5 star treatment, but because we get to shoot in the African bush!
To date, this has been one of the best assignments E.V.E.R !

What a journey it has been!
It is with great pleasure that we finally share our latest timelapse film "Where We'll Go" with you. It's been a hard, long and slow journey but it's all been totally worth it!!
So, the question remains... Where WILL we go??

Another timelapse project has been completed!
We worked on yet another Unilever project for the 3rd time in a row. Only this time it was an outdoor project and it took much longer than their previous indoor projects. A new Ola ice-cream manufacturing facility has been constructed in Midrand, South Africa.

Fascinating architecture, incredible designs and a whole lot of construction and developments are happening all around us. This time, it's right on our doorstep in Menlyn, Pretoria. Little did we know when contacted by Sun International what we would actually be shooting timelapse of...

Oh wow! Where on earth to begin with the memories from our most recent timelapse venture...
The Karoo in South Africa is such an incredible location! But it's harsh, it's hot and it's dry! At the same time it's so forgiving. It's so peaceful. It's majestic and magical. It's a destination like no other and that surely must be a good enough reason why we can't get enough of this place...

It's always great if your client allows you to do your job in the best possible way. This time Racklock did just that! Not only is this the second project that we shot for them but this time around they understood the necessity to use 4 cameras for the duration of the entire project.
Not just that, it's also one of the biggest once-off installations to date hence the importance to capture something truly impressive.
